AND since The Skyn Distillery specialize in working with brides getting their skin ready for their big day I thought it may be helpful to share the skincare routine and products. Reminder 80% of skincare is done at home and 20% is done seeing us in studio; being consistent and using good quality products will give you results.

Brow lamination helps take your unruly or thinning brow hair and smoothes it out while also lifting the hair in a vertical direction. The end results look like super smooth brows that have brow gel in them and can add volume and fullness by combing the brow hairs over sparse areas.

Why just drinking water won’t keep your skin hydrated in the Minnesota Winters.  DON’T STOP drinking water, but it’s not going to be enough to fully prevent dry skin when cold weather hits. When the temperature drops, outside humidity levels and extreme elements have a greater effect on epidermal water loss than water consumption.

While a number of factors influence what you will experience after receiving a chemical exfoliation treatment, here are some general guidelines. These guidelines are based on the peels that we use at The Skyn Distillery which are superficial peels and include our Bright Skin, Firm Skin, and Acne Skin Peels.

A chemical exfoliation or peel treatment causes a controlled wound to the skin. A healthy body will heal faster and with less chance of side effects. If you have a comprised immune system from a cold, disease, medication, etc., it will take longer for the skin to heal. If you have a weakened immune system, do not do a chemical peel.

After a chemical exfoliation, your skin will be in a more vulnerable and in delicate state. During this time, proper care will both heal the skin and encourage optimal results. What you do to the skin post treatment is as important as what you do not do.

Your wedding day makeup is only as good as your skin and the two biggest things I see all the time are DEHYDRATED SKIN + TEXTURE on my brides during their makeup trial runs! A makeup application will amplify these two skin concerns.
